Rediscovering horses, part 8

Horses are socio-cognitive

Exploration is a team effort

Imagine that you were dropped on a strange planet with your closest family and friends. The first thing you would want to do is find out about your new surroundings. And you would do this as a group, using each other's experiences to inform yourselves. You would not all be sniffing the same flower or kicking the same rock at the same time. According to Dr. Francesco De Giorgio, the natural desire of humans to explore and learn as a group means that we are socio-cognitive. And horses are as well. In this feature, you can learn what this means. Watch it with your friends.
