Equine behaviour consultant Emily McDonald is used to horses with problems. But when she volunteered to tame four abandoned semi-feral ponies for rehoming, she had no idea of the journey she was about to undertake. Physically, the ponies were in remarkable condition. The meadow is lush and there is water there at all times. But the two three-year-old stallions had never been handled and neither had the four month old foal. As for the mare, nobody knows.
